Fr. Rhone Lillard was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on August 6. Both his parents were US citizens, and the family returned to the States- San Diego, CA in 1976. Fr. Lillard was not raised with any particular religious faith, but when he was 15, he was received into the Catholic Church. In 1992, he entered St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, the seminary for the Society of St. Pius X, in Winona, MN. He was there for 3 1/2 years but left in order to study at Thomas Aquinas College in Ojai, CA. After completing his BA at Thomas Aquinas College in 2000, Father entered the Institute of Philosophic Studies at the University of Dallas where he did his Masters and Doctoral work in literature (ABD). In 2005, He entered the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter’s seminary (Our Lady of Guadalupe) in Denton, NE and was ordained a priest for the Fraternity of St. Peter on May 22 of 2010. After completing a License in Philosophy at Catholic University of America, Father returned to Our Lady of Guadalupe seminary and has been teaching there since the Fall of 2013.
Fr. William Lawrence, from upstate New York, serves on the faculty of the FSSP seminary in Denton, Nebraska. He was ordained in 2006 and received a pontifical licentiate of sacred theology in 2011. At Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, he was in charge of first year seminarians and taught theology and spirituality. Fr. Lawrence previously worked in FSSP apostolates in southwestern Ontario. In July 1, 2021, Fr. Lawrence was named the first Provincial Superior of the North American Province of the FSSP. He was appointed by Fr. Andrzej Komorowski, Superior General of the Fraternity. Previously a district within the FSSP, the province has greater authority to handle local matters, such as priest assignments, without having to refer them up to the Superior General.
